A memorial to honor Jeff's work as a firefighter is currently in the final planning phase. Planned to be built on the entry to Round Valley close to the spot where he lost his life while working to clear land from the State Park, this location will overlook the Valley, with an area to allow self reflection while honoring his work with the State and his Volunteer service to the community. All funds are being raised through donations, sales of memorial items, and product donations from generous local suppliers.
The memorial will be built around his new-found love of working the "chainsaw crew" after taking a course on this specialty.

Jeff Scheuerer memorial dr.
In conjunction with the planned memorial at Round Valley Recreation Area, friends are working with local and County officials to have Round Valley Access Road renamed as the Jeffrey Scheuerer Memorial Dr. Progress is looking good on this project, which is hoped to be completed the same day as the dedication of the Memorial. Over 1,100 signatures were obtained in a few weeks following this tragic event, asking for the renaming of the Street in Jeff's memory, and to honor his years of volunteer service to the community. The petition is available at: http://www.change.org/petitions/township-of-clinton-council-county-of-hunterdon-nj-freeholder-board-rename-street-in-memory-of-jeffrey-scheuerer
